Gravenstein Apple Gooey Chocolate Fudge Brownies
Carol Kozlowski, Kozlowski Farms
Makes one 9x9-inch pan
3 large Gravenstein apples
Juice from 1 lemon
1 box fudge brownie mix (recommend Duncan Hines)
1 extra large egg
1 cube butter, melted (1/2 cup)
1/4 cup Kozlowski Farms Gravenstein Apple Juice
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Generously spray sides and bottom of 9x9 inch pan with non-stick spray.
Fill medium bowl half-way with water and add lemon juice. Peel, quarter, and core apples, placing them in lemon-water. After all the apples are ready, remove from lemon-water and dry completely with towel. Put apples in a food processor and pulse into 1/4 inch cubes.
In a large bowl combine fudge brownie mix, apples, egg, melted butter, and Kozlowski Farms Gravenstein Apple Juice until well blended. Pour batter into pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted 1 inch from edge.
Let the brownies cool completely. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over brownies. Cut into 2 inch squares and serve.
