Healdsburg:  For foodies,
a new northern star

article in the LA Times

Read about all the favorite food-related destinations and activities in and around Healdsburg, including Relish and the Quivira Farm-To-Table Wine Dinners...

Canning:  The lost art?

Did you see the article by Diane Peterson in Wednesday's Press Democrat on our last canning class at Relish? Chef Elissa Rubin-Mahon talks about her all natural (no pectin) canning methods, shares tips for selecting fruit and purchasing equipment, and provides recipes for strawberry jam and canned apricots. Now's the season to learn how to capture a bit of summer in a glass jar.

The next Natural Canning class with Chef Elissa is Sunday, August 15, and features Peach-Raspberry Jam and Canned Tomatoes (just in time for the tomato glut that inevitably comes at the end of August!)

We're also offering a Pickling class in September and a Fermenting class in October, so stay tuned.
