Balsamic
Roasted Onions
This recipe
from Chef Britt Galler was printed in publication some time ago and it's
one of my favorite condiments because it's great on everything from
steaks to cheese platters.
2 large red
onions, sliced into wedges
2 Tbsp.
balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup
olive oil
1/4 tsp.
salt
2 Tbsp. soy
sauce
2 Tbsp.
sugar
Preheat oven to 350
degrees. In a lightly oiled baking pan, combine all ingredients and toss
to combine. Bake, stirring often, for about 40 minutes or until onions
are softended, lightly browned and coasted with a thickened glaze.
Makes 1/2 cup (and multiplies
well up to at least 6 times the recipe).
